As we move into an era where old things are being replaced by new things we see that more and more people are looking for more natural organic alternatives to cleaning their homes verses the harsh chemicals that affect a healthy environment.  It’s a proven fact that many of the chemicals in cleaners today cause asthma for non-asthma healthy people and other long term effects.  Especially for those who use chemicals often without gloves and a face mask to prevent from inhaling toxic vapors.    Though the problem with shopping for over the counter organic product cleaners is they seem to run high in price compared to all the other over the counter cleaning chemicals.

  1. Vinegar:   Vinegar is a strong beautiful acidic cleaning agent because of its antibacterial effect.    Also raising the temperature through boiling or microwave can activates its acidity to increase its cleaning capability.  White distilled vinegar works well at dissolving grease.    Also vinegar is an ideal cleaner for all your counter tops in all your bathrooms and kitchen areas.  This delightful thought makes one feel much better knowing loved ones are touching both clean and naturally cleaned surfaces.   What also is amazing about vinegar is how well it gets rid of urine odor in carpet, upholstery and other fibrous materials.  Also it can help remove the yellowing urine creates along with peroxide.  The trick is using it as soon as quickly as possible for its best effectiveness.   If not then you may have to contact a professional cleaner to deal with the odor and yellowing.

Cream of Tartar:   Cream of tartar is a result of wine making process.  Wine can produce a powder inside the wine barrels while it is fermenting over a long period of time bomb.  This powder is formed from tartaric acid.  It is purified into a white powdery substance that is also used for baking.  It can be used for cleaning bathtub tile, rust and fixing scratched dishes.  Wow!  Who knew!
  5. Baking Soda: Believe it or not baking soda is a natural deodorizer and out performs many other toxic powered chemicals used for deodorizing.  As well you can apply it to kitchen and bathroom surfaces that removes stains.  It can also work effectively at cleaning inside grimy ovens.  Adding salt gives baking soda a power boost of scrubbing powder.
