  1. When the spill happens run and grab a utensil big enough to handle the amount spilled. Use the utensil to remove the tomato sauce spilled.  Make sure you work from the outside in to keep it from spreading and making it worse.  Also don’t apply pressure to push it deeper into the carpet.
  2. If you have club soda it can work wonders or hot lava water should then be applied. After you have used the utensil begin blotting with a towel or sponge.  Then dry the remains with a clean towel or clean sponge.
  3. Then mix a tablespoon with salt two-three cups of water. Blot well with a rag.  Then rinse with water thoroughly.
  4. After trying the above method and the stain still persist then try 1 tablespoon of ammonia with ½ a cup of water. Apply then blot it up.  After this rinse well.
  5. If the stain still remains try this. Use 1 tablespoon of Hydrogen peroxide and 3 tablespoons of water.  Let it dwell for about 35 minutes.  Then rinse with hot lava water.   Just remember to check often to make sure your carpet is not discoloring.
  6. It is a good idea if the stain is no longer there and you had to saturate the carpet well to remove the stain to then grab a dry clean towel and fold it up and lay it on the spot. Then set on top of it a brick or book or some heavy object.  This will allow it to dry into the towel.  What can happen at times it the stain will reaper if it’s embedded into the pad or backing of your carpet.  Carpet dry’s upward so this is a good rule to follow.
  7. If your stain remains stubborn then contact a professional carpet cleaner.
