We love our pets.  They are our loving faithful little friends.  We love them so much that we often put up with their messes.  It’s no fault to them but most pets, in this case dogs, often shed lots of fur.  It can be proven to be more difficult than just vacuuming.  This is why I have provided some detailed suggestions that can help you clean after your lovable best friends.

Lint Rollers:  These are rollers come with a handle and sticky film designed to roll over many surfaces.  Including your arm.  These are great for furniture, curtains and clothes.  Once it is full of hair and ineffective you can try to remove the hair by hand or just throw it away in the trash can!

Rubber Gloves:  This is a cool trick.  Just buy some rubber gloves, put on a pair and then moisten them with a little water.  Wipe over carpet, furniture, curtains or clothes.  The moisture helps the dog hair not to cling to your gloves.  This makes it easier to ball up.  It’s the bees knees and the cats pajamas!

Vacuuming:  I believe this is the best method for removing dog hair out of your carpets.  There are several things to consider if you’re looking a good dog hair catching vacuum.  Also there are and ways help your current vacuum be more successful at collecting the dog hair.

  1. Check reviews online for a good dog hair vacuums. Some are better than others.
  2. Find a vacuum that has a good agitator brush. This is like sweet candy!
  3. Look for one with powerful suction. The brush is most important but suction is mucho important too.
  4. Lower the settings to help collet deep imbedded hair in the root of the carpet fibers
  5. Change your bag often. If you bag is full then it will not have as good of suction.
  6. Keep your brushes clean. (If hair raps around the brush just simply cut with a sharp  object).  By doing so it will be free to grab more hair and be more effective in the removal of the dog hair.

Balloon:  This is something you can do with the kids!  It is so much fun!  Blow it up and rub it on carpet, clothes, drapes or upholstery and then watch the static on the balloon do all the work.  While doing this make sure to have a small trash can with you so you can and the surface of the balloon and place the hair into it.   Continue to do this until you see no more hair.
