How to Remove Wax from Carpet
1. Break it up. Whenever I’m removing wax in someone’s home I fist try to remove as much as possible. I can break chunks apart or just by scraping the top surface I can remove a large portion.
2. What you need. The first thing you will need is a hot iron and a brown paper bag. Tear the bag exposing a single layer and place it on the wax stain.
3.Plug in the iron. Have your iron heat up to a mid-heat level.
5. Apply the iron. Place the Iron over the brown paper bag. At this point you should notice the wax stating to become a liquid. It should be transferring to the paper bag.
6. Repeat. It’s common to have to repeat this process. It takes time and patience. Replace the bag when needed. If you don’t have the time to fiddle then contact your local professional carpet cleaner.
