Here are a few non- toxic household solutions for cleaning mold

  1. Hydrogen Peroxide

This cleaning agent if awesome sauce! It is created as an anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial solution that kills mold thoroughly leaving it helpless against its mold killing super powers!  Simply mist this stuff from a bottle on your materials, kitchen appliances (look behind and underneath), bathroom fixtures, floors and walls.  This stuff is the bees knees and the cats pajamas!

Mix Hydrogen Peroxide into a bottle, just simply Pour 3% concentration hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle and the rest with water.  The look for your moldy area or areas and then saturate the moldy surface completely and leave it to sit for 10 minutes.  Repeat for the absolute kill thrill.

The next step is to scrub the area using a bristle brush or towel.  Then scrub the area to remove as much of the mold and mold spores. And then, wipe the surface with a rag to remove residual mold and spores.

  1. Vinegar

Vinegar is a great natural cleaner!  Great for any surface of floors, countertops, bathrooms and many more! It’s a mild acid that can eliminate up to 82% of mold species. (If you want you can also use the awesomeness of baking soda along with vinegar for great effectiveness at killing and removing mold.

  1. Baking Soda

Baking soda is a mild, white mineral powder, that can be used to destroy mold in your indoor environment, as a plus it is safe for your family and pets.  Also it will absorb the moisture that feeds the mold.  One thing to try is either hydrogen peroxide or vinegar first and then apply the baking soda as a preventive to keep it from coming back.

To deal with the mold with baking soda just add one quarter of a tablespoon of it into a spray bottle mixed with water and then shake it until it has completely dissolved. Spray on directly onto the moldy area with the baking soda and water mixture, then use a wet sponge, towel or scrub brush to agitate and remove the mold from that surface. Next you rinse the surface with hot water to remove any remaining mold on the surface.  Finally, simply spray the area again and walk away and let the surface dry.  Again this will kill any left-over mold and prevent the mold from returning.  It’s so awesome!
