How to remove a Paint Stain on Carpet

Many times when cleaning carpets in customers home I usually notice paint stains dripped on the carpet from a previous painting experience.   My guess is like most people they probably noticed the drip and gave up before even attempting to remove it.   The good news is there simple and effectiv  ways of removing paint out of your carpet.  When it comes to paint there different types of paint take different methods to remove.  Here are some great pointers I have provided for you to try out…

ALL PAINT . . .

Whatever type of paint your working with always get to it as fast as possible!  When paint dries it can stain your carpet permanently.  When it happens then immediately create a border around the spill to keep it from spreading. Rush to grab an exposable towel and return to the spot. Remember to blot and not to rub.   If you rub it in you can both spread and deepen it worse than it already it.  Believe me!  I have done this a time or three!

ACRYLIC PAINT . . .

Glycerin is known to be the very best to resolve this type of paint.   Rush to grab an exposable towel and glycerin then return to the spot.  When you return remember to blot and not rub.  Then when you notice the plaint has vanished, simply remove the remaining residue with rubbing alcohol.   After this go over the spot with a soap and water.  Clean up and vacuum.

OIL-BASED PAINT

This type of paint is a guaranteed stain if left to long before treatment.  Rush to grab an exposable towel and Use turpentine or mineral spirits then return to the spot.  When you return remember to blot and not rub on the painted area.  Apply and blot with paper towels or a disposable towel.  After you see the stain vanish then simply rinse with rubbing alcohol that helps to remove all the chemicals.    Lastly use soap and water to rinse what is left.

LATEX PAINT

Rush to grab an exposable towel then return to the spot.  When you return remember to blot and not rub on the painted area. Start blotting the paint.  Then grab a teaspoon of neutral detergent and mix it with hot water.  This means no alkaline or bleach.   Use the towel to blot the stain.  Repeat until the stain is completely gone.

WATER-BASED PAINT

This is the easiest of all paint stains to remove.  Rush to grab an exposable towel and water and vinegar then return to the spot.  When you return remember to blot and not rub on the painted area.  Start blotting the paint.   After the paint stain has vanished then apply dish soap and rinse with a light amount of hot water.
