Imagine you’re at home cooking up an amazing Italian spaghetti meatball dinner for the family.  You have assorted all your Italian food elements, pasta, veggies, meat for making meatballs, French bread, salad with all the fixings and of course tomato sauce!  As your pasta is stet into boil and your meat is prepared as meatballs you then reach for the sauce and it slips out of your hands!  Down to the floor it goes and lands on your tile kitchen floor.  So you start cleaning by removing all the broken glass pieces, then reach for your throwaway paper towels and start wiping.   As you are wiping you notice your dog who helping by licking the sauce right off the floor.  Eminently tell your dog to go away! After wiping a few times you look to notice tomato sauce foot prints being left behind by your dog.  You then yell the words “NO little Fu Fu!” Its too late!  The dog has now gotten the tomato sauce prints all over your white living room carpet!  Then you think to yourself, what do I do now?  Below I have listed below tips to help remove the tomato sauce from your beautiful white carpet.

As fast as you can you need to grab any utensil to remove the tomato sauce spilled.  When you make your way to the spot you need to gently remove the excess sauce.  Be sure not to apply pressure and lodge the red stain deeper into the carpet fiber.  Also make sure you work from the outside in to keep it from spreading any further. Then grab some Club soda and if you don’t have that water will also work.  Pour it on the stain.  Blot (don’t scrub!) with a towel or sponge.  Then dry with a clean towel.  Then mix a tablespoon with two-three cups of water.  Blot well with a rag.  Then rinse with water thoroughly.  After trying the above method and the stain still persist then try 1 tablespoon of ammonia with ½ a cup of water.   Apply then blot up.  After this rinse well.  If ammonia is left in the carpet it can cause soils to attract.  If the stain remains after try ammonia then try this.  Use 1 tablespoon of Hydrogen peroxide and 3 tablespoons of water.  Let it dwell for about 35 minutes.  Then rinse with water.   Just remember to check often to make sure you carpet is not discoloring.  If your stain remains stubborn then contact a professional carpet cleaner.
