How to Get Gum Out of Carpet

Ice is great at causing the gum will become brittle by becoming hardened. Use a utensil to scrape and break it off.
PEANUT BUTTER
This works for someone who gets gum stuck in their hair. Try this on your carpet. After it’s removed rinse out with soap and water.
OLIVE OIL OR VEGETABLE OIL
Oil is what helps to remove gum. Water can’t remove it therefore water biased products wont work. Try Olive oil or vegetable oil.
WD-40 SPRAY
Only use at last resort. It is very flammable. Rinse out thoroughly.
VINEGAR
Allow vinegar to dwell for a few minutes then scrape off with a knife. Before using vinegar be sure to test in an inconspicuous area for color fast.
